I want my chocolate

Sorry folks, been real busy and have had trouble finding the time to update my regular channel of communication.

The exams and assessments are done, marking completed and the semester is over. It’s the holidays till mid October but far from this being a break, there’re loads of administrative work, duties, responsibilities and classes (yes, I’ve to attend some teacher training sessions and hand in assignments too).

The pace at the poly is – for the lack of a better word – “breathable”. But I will admit that I do miss my ex-colleagues. After all, I’d spend five years slaving together with them and many became my firm friends. In my current environment, we’ve all got different time-tables and its tough to schedule lunches together. I also have a peculiar habit of eating only after my classes end so that I don’t have to chomp my lunch hurriedly. I prefer to savour my meals at a relaxing pace. Most days, I take-away food and eat at the staff lounge or my cubby-hole. Sometimes I snack on biscuits (or chocolates, as usual) till I my tummy does a royal rumble. My favourite has got to be Cadbury’s Fruit and Nut. Mmmmmmm…

Oh dear. Now I want my chocs. Craving for some cocoa boost to kick start my Sunday. Yes, I am aware that snacking is a terrible example to set for the kids so I have to forgo this unhealthy habit, at least when I’m with them. Oh well, can always resume my chocoholic addiction tomorrow when I’m back at work. Heh.
