just a quick update to reassure you that i'm not buried alive in quicksand.
the pregnancy's getting a little more bearable as i'm not wrecked by nausea and vomiting spells now that i'm in my 19th week.
BUT...
i'm still feeling exhausted ALL THE TIME. it wasn't like this with xian and wen - i attribute this to age.
*sigh*
xian's really excited about having another sibling to join in the fray - her daily routine includes kissing my tummy, talking and saying "good night" to the baby. wen's understandably a little more apprehensive about having her "baby-of-the-family" position usurped by rugrat. initially she refused to touch my bulging belly, but after she observed xian chat tenderly to the baby-in-my-tummy, she warmed up a wee bit and would now attempt to cautiously "kiss the baby".
and, of course, everyone's curious about the gender of rugrat. i'll be going for my 5th month ultra-sound scan next week, but i'm not expecting for a boy. during the last scan, the doc noted that there wasn't "any extra flesh" - much to the hub's disappointment (though he's not the only one).
we are already blessed with two lovely daughters and it's only natural that we'd like to experience raising a son. however, what's more important is for the new leonglet to be a normal, healthy one, regardless of gender. at least that's what i think.
here's my song of the week...simply red's "For Your Babies"
