it's the plain truth. i'm not being nasty, just being literal about the whole matter.
my 3-week-old has used up 4 packs of diapers so far - she dirties at an average of about 6 to 7 diapers per day. she started off with a pack of pampers for newborns provided by the hospital but we switched to drypers for newborn because it's more affordable. seriously, at the rate she's pooping and pee-ing, we've got to be prudent in our expenditure.and because she's 100% on mumsy's milk, her stools are watery and she craps a few times a day. which makes it tough for us to use washable cloth nappies as that would mean we'll have to change her every half an hour, not to mention the mountainous heap of cloth diapers we'd have to wash on a daily basis!
so far, despite having a plastic changing mat, she's soiled the bedsheets a couple of times. especially when her diapers are too wet/dirty and her excretion leaks.
yucks.
and she's even pooed directly on my hand while i was changing her midway.
triple yucks.
the stuff mums have to do for their kids. but hey, after 3 babies, nappy duties are the least of my concerns.
dirty diapers don't scare me one bit.
just bring it!
