the sarong sling

it's happening again. for the 3rd time in my life.

my heart's tearing up into pieces at the thought of heading back to the office without wei. we'll both need to adjust to the long hours without each other...

i know it's impossible but i just wish i could bring my terrorliza with me to work! can't bear to leave the little firecracker at home.

if only i could place wei in my old trusty sarong sling from moms in mind and bring her along with me, even to class when i teach!

i've been out several times with wei and she's always snuggled up in the sling. this pix was taken while i was having lunch at a food court - very unglamourously crossed my leg and shifted her (in the sling) to rest on my thigh while i ate with my free hand.

and i know this sounds gross, but the sarong sling even allowed me to visit the ladies - i was "hands free" and could go about doing what i had to do in the toilet, all the while with the baby in the sling!

the sarong sling's probably the best baby product investment i've made. i bought it for about S$36.00 when xian was 4 months but she didn't really like it much and i wasn't very comfortable or confident in using it.

when wen came along, i practiced using the sling with a toy teddy bear first and proceeded to place her inside whenever we went out. it was so much more convenient (and easier for breastfeeding) and we didn't need to take along the baby pram!

so wen practically grew in the sarong sling until she grew out of it! she was still using it last year (at the age of 2) during our road trip to malaysia. here's the proof as the hub slings his mirror image at his hips:

see? it's really no hassle!

if only i could sneak wei to work/class in the the sarong...*sigh*

I bet I will be one of the happiest student if you can sneak all your girls to school. HAHA!
